Another KK spot
Related to Nina's recent KK post, two common and annoying KK situations:
assume standard villains. Spot 1 UTG raises, hero is CO with KK, 3-balls, all fold, villain calls. FLOP A73r Villain bets, hero calls Turn 9r Villain checks, hero? and Spot 2: Hero HJ with KK, raises, folded to BB who calls flop is A73r BB donks, hero calls Turn 9r bb checks, hero bets, bb calls. River J BB checks, hero? |

Re: Another KK spot
1) b/f, check behind river is my standard line
vs certain player types I might use b/b (vs very loose players taht will call down with 3rd pair - althought these types don't raise pf often) or check turn call any river (very aggressive players obv, especially when you can't fold to a turn c/r) 2) very close imho, I think it's a thin valuebet but vs an unknown it's hard to say |

Re: Another KK spot
Standard villains don't donk into you.
Hand 2 I definitely b/f b/f. Hand 1 I check behind and call the river or b/f it if he checks. |

Re: Another KK spot
In both cases, it depends on reads. If enough worse hands go to showdown, then bet both turn and river for value. If not, check behind turn and call a river bet UI.

Re: Another KK spot
hand 1 I check the turn. we don't want to scare him off a lower pair by repping the ace
hand 2 is a river vb, woulda checked turn behind though I don't find these situations very common at all, almost noone donks the A high flops |

Re: Another KK spot
since 2 is a blind battle maybe turn should be a bet, vilain has a bunch of 7x hands and such in his range

Re: Another KK spot
donk and check/raise turn is quiet unusual even at stars low limit.
the donk ist most times a weak ace or a pp as far as I have seen. against the average joe (who isnt super tricky aggressiv) I like raising the donk and checking behind the turn followed by c/c river or bet/? (call I guess) You save money vs aces and give all other hands the chance to bluff into you an the river |

Re: Another KK spot
On hand 2 if you bet the turn you gotta value bet the river IMO. I'd consider checking behind to let air catch up or bluff the river, we also save money if he happens to have a weak ace that check/calls twice, although it'd be a weird line to take. If you think he mostly has 7x and not enough air that will bluff the river just valuebet both streets.
