Another Stars $1/2 hand. Villain seems pretty stationy. He's only playing one table. I've seen him before and hes unremarkable. He doesn't raise draws and calls a lot OOP. Should I bet here? If I'm checkraised (and thats usually his play with a monster, I've seen him checkminraise the turn with the nuts twice against other regs) I star to vomit...so what to do here when the flush hits?

with your stack, i don't see how this is anything but bet/call. With 100bb, I still think you lose quite a bit of value by checking behind.

If you were fairly deep, and your opponent could make it incorrect for you to call and try to fill up I could see a good argument for checking behind here.

I just lost a pot to the guy before that I raised with AJ, he called, flop was A 8 3, he led for $8, i made a similar raise, he called turn 5, check,check, river 10, he led for like $15 so I called and he showed AK...

gators i do this every time i call on the river and don't have a nut hand, even if i expect to win. seriously.

as for this turn, it's a pretty standard bet if he's a non-thinking station. yes, you have to call if he shoves. even passive donks occasionally get pissed and play hands like A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9 like this.

I think you lose too much value by checking, as I think he will probably call a bit light here. You only have about 55BB left, so b/c.
