i think i am shoving as played i mean it feels to me like A9 or something like that. If u ran into a boat idk but i think villain has a nine here and im shovin.

Ur q on the overbet, thats how i woulda played the hand after he leads for 500 i would have shoved wit my straight and hoped to see a dry 9

I don't think it's close, as the only hand that beats you that makes any sense at all is 89s (which, from the fact that you're posting, is probably what he ended up with).

But I think it's a lot more likely to be spew from A9 who (a) thinks you're trying to bluff him off, or (b) realized that he screwed himself by checking the turn but he can't let it go (and I've spewed in this situation enough times to know what I'm talking about here!!!).

To me the turn shove is actually the more interesting question, because I've tried shoving, min-raising, and standard raising, and I get mixed results with all--very tough for me to say which seems to build the pot better.

Just call his river bet! No fancy raising if you don't intend to call when he comes over the top...

4 betting the river here with the nut straight on a paired board would be bad, But it sure doesn't seem like he has a FH especially with the mini raise...

Strange hand, but i think its a call
