What rates am I looking at in Stud?
Hi I am primarily a hold em player on FT but things have gotten really dry nowadays so I thought I gave stud a try. Is the games any juicy on FT? If yes, let's say for 1/2, what hourly rates for 1 table for say above average play? Thanks.

Re: What rates am I looking at in Stud?
As a beginner, I've been raking in a cool $1.55/hr at the .5/1 Razz game with an MT of 1.15, so that's about $1.40/hr/table. (2.4BB/100) Maybe you could double that at 1/2.
Out of curiousity, which is considered the most potentially profitable game, Razz, Stud or Hi/Low? |

I have limited experience, but on Stars 1/2 Stud8 has easily the worst players. Maybe Stud Hi comes close when i am playing .

Re: What rates am I looking at in Stud?
I wouldn't say I'm a stud beginner as I played a lot of stud when I was first learning poker and continue to play it as much as I can, but I'm definitely a razz beginner. Over 3700 hands from .50/1 to 3/6 across all three variants I'm averaging 6.06 BB/100.
Personally, I think the Stud Hi games are the softest, but Stud 8 allows player to make truly egregious errors. I'm stronger at stud hi, though, probably because I spent much more time playing stud hi/lo declare than stud 8. In fact, declare is sadly my best game (sadly because no one plays it for $$$). |
