Default Live Tourney...what\'s your move

17 are left from 40 starters. This is a final tournament for a 12 week series where top 40 points leaders play.

Villian is LAG, wide range of hands from any position. Will raise with questionable cards if he hasn't played for awhile. Loves any ace.

Villian is UTG with 40 000. You are BB with 37 000. Blinds are 3000 6000 w 500 ante. Table is 7 handed.

You have KQs.

Villian raises to 16000. Folds around to you.

You?

wit only 37k and 6k bb im shovin this hand especially wit ur description of villain u might b ahead of his range and if not u gotta look to find spot and gamble this doesnt seem like a bad spot to do so. Ur read of the villain makes this a shove situation IMO

and in this hand hasn't played villain for a while???

otherwise this is a flod for me - even if with your very low m.
villain has committed himself more or less to the pot without shoving. your an underdog to any ace, which he likes to play.
i'd fold this even if this might be borderline +ev cause of the blinds and try to steal on my own.

i assume that anybody on the table is similar short stacked with an low m. if you are the only short stack it is time for a race.

I think KQs has enough equity against what we perceive to be his wide range to want to get it in here, given we're getting pretty good pot odds. I actually think the best play is the stop and go here. It's not going to "work" that often but he may fold a missed A-high or a low PP on a scary (A-high) board. Basically I have enough pot odds/equity to get it in straight, and the stop and go is slightly more effective.

do you think villain will play a small pp or A-high with a M of 3 that way?

Not particularly often but just enough for me to prefer SNG over shoving. And I think shoving is already > folding.

yes you are right - as long as you give him a probability of 20% playing A-high, small PP this ist +EV
