As a Vandy grad, I wish I could be happy he's gone. I would be ecstatic, except he's left the school in such a state of turmoil. He already dissolved the athletic department - wtf? - and is in the middle of denying all off-campus housing to students attending an urban campus. Most of the profs I've talked to frankly hated him, but I don't think any wanted to see him leave Vandy in the lurch like this. Is the next Chancellor going to reinstate the Atheltic Dept.? Is the board going to favor candidates that say they want to continue Gee's "vision" of making Vandy into Bowdoin? Nobody knows, so the only silver lining is that Gee is finally gone.

In any case, I think its really funny to see an OSU fan cheer that they "got [their] man back." Basically everywhere else he's been would respond, "Uhhh, you can have him."

EDIT: PS, he's going to completely contradict every "value" he proclaimed to stand for at Vandy because he can't afford to piss off OSU alumns. Imagine telling Cleveland Bob from two doors down that the OSU football team would be disciplined by some joker from Student Affairs. Ugh, I hate Gee so so much.
