X-Post: Pole-a-Palooza Trip Report (NSFW)

Monday night was the annual Pole-a-Palooza pole dancing contest here in Las Vegas. Since two of the contestants attended the STTF Bowl-o-Rama party in June, we were able to get invited to the event at the table of the reigning Pole-a-Palooz champion.

Apparently, Durrr is the only other 2+2er in Vegas who isn't ghey since he was the only one who wanted to come along. We were pole-side for the event and snapped a few pics for your enjoyment.

The first contestant started things out with a bang. She was covered in body paint and shot straight to the top of the pole for some impressive acrobatic feats









The second contestant was no slouch herself.

In between rounds they would bring up some random chicks to dance on the stage. The blond had a nice rack and was pretty cute.





Some girls were more acrobatic than others. This contestant walked on stage, put the pole between her legs, and shimmied for 5 minutes. What it lacked in athleticism it more than made up for in photogenicity.







Our girl Jenyne was in a class by herself, though. This is one of my favorite pics, capturing the dollar bills that were being flung at the contestants by the rabid crowd.

Ok, in that last picture take a look at the light rigging in the ceiling. You'll want to remember that when you watch the video that i'll post at the end of this trip report.

The contest started out with 20 contestants, and most all of them were very skilled. There was only one wipeout, which was surprising considering how small the stage was. They used one of the go-go dancing stages at Jet to hold the competition and the whole stage is only about 9 square feet. It was definitely suboptimal, but the girls all adapted and spent virtually all of their time in the air. They elimated all but 6 of the contestants after the first round and had a second round where the girls stepped up their game quite a bit. Both of the STTF Bowl-o-Rama girls made the second round, so the forum was well represented. The final round cut the field to 3 girls and Jenyne made the cut. She blew the other two away and took the championship for the second year in a row.

It was a fun night, and I hear that the condition Durrr was in when he got home that morning may be worthy of it's own trip report.

And since you've been such a good audience, i'll post a video of Jenyne's second round performance as soon as I upload it to youtube. And remember the light rigging... so sick.
