NL100 / 5-players / Effective 120 / Hero is TAG
Button seems fairly nitty. How is my line here and if you don't like it what's the best line in this situation? Hero is CO with J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG folds, Hero raises 4, Button raises 14, blinds fold, Hero calls. Flop (29) J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero checks, Button bets 23, Hero raises all-in 106. |

I probably lead flop for around 23-25, but I don't mind playing it like this if you know he's gonna bet.

My reasoning was that Button would bet AK/AA and check behind QQ or TT etc. but I didn't really care about these hands as I wasn't getting any value out of them anyway. I didn't think he'd raise the flop with AA/AK and there are lots of cards that could come on turn to kill my action. So I hoped to represent a draw by crai. Want to see what people thought of that.

the problem is, what hands are you doing this with other than AK?
Throw him some rope and call the flop, check the turn and push if he bets there, VB or push the river if he checks turn behind. If he has AK youre getting his $$ anyway, so lets let other hands come along too. The line you took is good on low flops where villain might call with any overpair. |
