Default Zecco.com (Free Trades Online)

Hello all,

Just wanted to my make my first contribution to two+two by telling you all about zecco.com. They offer free trades (10 per day ,40 a month). The minimum account balance for daytrading is 25,000. They offer cash accounts, margins, etc. Just a way to save some money on your investments.

Being 17, with only about 200 a month to invest, it's saved me a big percentage of money.

^ Here's my blog that includes a little about zecco and the stocks in my portfolio.

Do they happen to cover the non us exchanges at all? If this isn't spam thanks a ton, but this definatley sounds too good to be true. Even the brokerage houses have to pay fees on trades, so even if they want to go commission free as a loss leader they would be paying out of pocket for every trade done.. interesting though thanks.

gecko,

this isn't spam. Zecco makes money off of their margin accounts (which still isn't a lot) and I think they are probably operating at a loss right now.

Before e-trade and scottrade, trades used to be more than $10 dollars. There are other sites that offer even $5 and lower trades, so it was inevitable that competition breeds an even lowest cost online broker.

There aren't any hidden fees that I can think of. I've been with them for a few months. They also have discussion forums
and I haven't heard anyone else complain. They charge about $50 to move your portfolio from another broker to them.

I'm not sure about the non us exchanges but i'll look into that

you can't just link your blog like that,

also, zecco is legit. Bank of America offers free trades as well if you meet some account requirements.
