UB 5.50T: Bubble deepstacks, lay down a full house?
There is big action in this hand, is this a clear fold because of the danger of due to the prescence of the original raiser being the Big stack still left to act!?!?

wow. nice fold. even with that big of a hand, and just one push infront of you. even more so because 2 other called, and even more because of the bubble situation!
As if you knew what will happen. one of these 3 had a 4, right? Or atleast bigger pocket pair... I say nice fold. |

Re: UB 5.50T: Bubble deepstacks, lay down a full house?
Hi Korean,
First, let's look at the pre-flop action. In 4-handed play with a mid pocket pair, normally you should raise (say 2.5 or 3 BB). This is for several reasons: 1. Value. Your hand figures to be best 4-handed. 2. Position. You don't want the button to call, since a mid pair is tough enough to play already post-flop, and having the button in there with position will make this hand much more difficult to play post-flop. 3. Pre-flop fold equity. Everyone could well fold to a smallish bet of t250 or so, and just taking the blinds at the bubble is usually desirable, even at 50-100. But given this limp, you must stick around to see a flop given the better than 4:1 pot odds and the fact that your call closes the action. Now at the flop, reads really come into play. Pre-flop action indicates you could be up against a higher pocket pair (particularly the SB's smooth-call), plus calling this bet pot-commits you and the pre-flop raiser is still in the pot. So unless these guys are very loose-aggressive, protect your big stack near the bubble and make the play you did: fold. The combination of you might already being beat, plus the possibility of overcards hitting, make this a fold. So what did the SB and button end up showing? Best Regards, Collin |

Preflop: I'd raise with 88 and fold to a non-min reraise
Postflop: nh |

The SB had 55 and the button had QQ.
