Default Wireless Mouse ***FIXED***

About four weeks ago, I bought a Logitech wireless package that included a keyboard, mouse, and speakers, and everything worked great up until about four hours ago. Now, however, the mouse completely dies within about 15 seconds of resetting it. The little red light comes on, then begins to flicker before completely turning off. I've tried restarting the computer, unplugging the USB connection and reconnecting, trying to reconnect through the hub by using the "connect" button, etc. Nothing works. Any ideas on what the problem might be? Returning it is obviously an option, but I really like the keyboard and the speakers (which are still working fine), and since I only paid $40 for the package, I'm afraid I won't be able to find a better deal.

EDIT: Yes, I've checked the batteries. They're fine.

DOUBLE EDIT: I have no idea why, but it's working fine now. I simply reconnected it again (for about the seventh time), and it worked. I'll bump this if it starts dying again.
