K9 on QQK flop
PokerStars 0.50/1.00 Hold'em (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)
Preflop: Hero is BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. MP2 posts a blind of $0.50. 1 fold, UTG+1 calls, 1 fold, MP2 (poster) checks, 2 folds, Button calls, SB completes, Hero checks. Flop: (5 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 players) SB bets, Hero ? Hate these hands. Pretty new at table so no real reads. I'm thinking that SB betting can't really be air with this flop. |

Re: K9 on QQK flop
relatively small pot, OOP against the field = fold for me.
this is similar to a hand in SSHE where hero has T7 in the bb, the pot is small (like 5 sb) and the small Blind leads into a flop of Txx. SSHE recommends a fold. even if we have SB beat, he has many outs for a chop. i dont see how continuing in this hand can be +EV. |

Re: K9 on QQK flop
With this kicker, smallish pot, no reads, and 4 villains behind me I'm not that curious about the turn or river cards. Fold and go get a beer. But get back in time to see what SB led with.

Wow.
I am never folding this on the flop against an unknown. |

Re: K9 on QQK flop
OK I hate to fold TP myself. But what is the plan then?

Re: K9 on QQK flop
marchron, you call or raise here? What you intend to do later?
This is pretty tough spot. |

Re: K9 on QQK flop
Well, for starters, I'd probably raise the flop to chase out gutshots and see how SB really feels about his hand. The turn all depends on how many people call my flop raise or if SB three-bets. I could raise/bet, call/check, or fold instantly, or even bet/fold if flop callers raise and re-raise it behind me.
Ironically, the last card I want to see on the turn is a 9. |

Re: K9 on QQK flop
I was thinking WOW to the flop fold also.
My plan would have been to raise and try to get the hand heads up with the SB. Then re-evaluate later, depending upon the action. You could quite easily have the best hand, and if so, you dont want something like a gut-shot to outdraw you. |

Re: K9 on QQK flop
We are betting two, chasing six, from a very vulnerable spot? We are likely behind to at least one of the villains. An A turn or river crushes us. We have two possible outs K's, two semi possible outs, Q's, the nines aren't great outs as you mentioned. How many of our "outs lead to a chop?
We have no clue what the villains behind us are doing and not a great chance of folding them all. We are likely cannon fodder here sir but I admire your willingness to try and shoot our way out. I think I give up the battlefield cheaply here and look for a better spot. |

They do have a hand when the bb has T7o in the BB, there are 5 players and the pot is 5sb, but.... In their hand the flop was Q94 rainbow, the flop was checked through, a 7 fell on the turn and the sb bet. Sorry, but different type of hand and action. |
