Counterstrike
Say you're playing an official league match in CounterStrike. It's a hostage map and you're T. If it's down to you and one CT, you're hurt bad and there's a lot of time left on the clock, you could kill the hostages yourself, take the $ penalty, and go hide to try to win the match. Is that illegal? Unethical? Unsporting? Understood to be a valid strategy?

Re: Counterstrike
I've never played in a league where hostie matches (CS) were allowed (DE matches are normally the only ones in Cal, etc.) but if it isn't against the rules why not. If you don't have much money it's definitely a +EV spec although I think I remember you get less money for an end time victory. Is it against the rules? Probally not. Unsporting? Probally. Are you trying to win? Yes. I'd do it.

Re: Counterstrike
LOL @ a league match that plays CS_ maps.
Why would it be unethical? On DE maps it's wise to stay alive if the other team doesn't have time to plant. The terrorists that stayed alive receive $0 and your team wins the round. Don't know if it's illegal since I've never played in a league that plays CS_ maps |
