Default Love it or hate it =)

Hey guys!
I have some history with villain and i know he is a pretty big nit. I assume he has a tag image of me.
I think the only way i could win this pot is repping the A on the river. If i did have the ace i would probably shove bc i only have like a psb behind. Regarding his line, do you guys think a shove here is ok?
Love it or hate it guys.

When he's a nit you are in deep trouble as soon as he calls your reraise oop.
That cbet is already debatable, since that flop has hit a big part of his range. You can only try to push him of 99-QQ here and he'd probably already fold this to your flop bet.

At first I absolutely hated it.

But when he doesn't try to valuebet the river this isn't that bad. but i dont understand why he is calling the flop here - you said he was a nit.

I still hate it...just not absolutely.

i think he might have called my 3bet light, since i was sitting on his left at another table too and he was already pissed of gettin 3bet a ton. at the other table we were both deep and i 3bet lighter when deepstacked, esp when i think that i can outplay villain postflop.
since he checks the turn and checks it to me on the river i think i can fire a last shot at this pot. would he check a boat on the river?? i really doubt that!

You might want to include this kind of additional info in your OP in the future, because it's important. I think the river is ok, since he will realize that every A has the virtual nuts. Him checking twice is a sign of real weakness here, imo.

I don't know if I like the idea of raising another deep stacked player with light holdings though. I rather attack the medium stacks this way. It's too easy to get caught up in this and be trapped for a big pile of chips. But I suck at deep stack play in general.
