ABC Poker
Villain is 29/21/4 through 140 hands. We haven't really played any pots together so far. I think this is a pretty interesting spots because bet/folding and checking behind are both very reasonable plays. However, knowing how to react to a river bet can be fairly difficult if the turn gets checked through.

Re: ABC Poker
I normally check here with Qc and call reasonable bets on most rivers. Without Qc I B/f.

Re: ABC Poker
Checking is far better than betting IMO with the club in your hand. He is giving up many hands to the turn bet that will bet or call a river and you certainly don't want to get check-raised off possibly the best hand. In a lot of ways this is a standard check for me planning to call any reasonable river bet (pot or less).

Re: ABC Poker
This may sound kind of weak, but at this point I'm trying to get to showdown as cheaply as possible. It depends on villan what line I prefer. Either check the turn and call a river bet (hopefully it will induce a bluff) or bet turn and check behind on the river.

Re: ABC Poker
i bet for value - outstanding straight draws, TP hands and medium pocket pairs,
also depending on how deep villain is thinking i feel you might get a light call on the turn with like 88 here if he thinks you'll bet the turn with AxX |

Re: ABC Poker
jk3a I dont think a river bet has to put you in a tough spot if you check the turn. Once you have induced the bluff against an aggressive player you call the river, simple as.

Re: ABC Poker
I mostly check here. The Qc is often good and we can't really stand a c/r. I'm calling most river bets or bet/fold if he checks.
Bet/folding turn loses the same amount against hands that have us beat, but folds out some hands that might bluff at the river or call a v-bet. |

Re: ABC Poker
bet w my image, check with nit image. hard for nit to rep anything making up enough weight in their range that can call a shove, whereas hard to put a lag on anything so obv call with one pair.
