ME - how important is the short stack strategy?
Hey guys,
For the ME, how much are cash game players giving up if they don't fully know the nuances of playing like a 30-40bb stack in the middle/late part of the tourney? I know the basic preflop equities from cash games? Is 3 days enough to learn the basics lol.. or just focus on postflop play? |

Re: ME - how important is the short stack strategy?
I think the most important stack size you should try to work on is 20bbs and below. Being able to push bot when the blinds get big and your stack starts to get around 10bbs or lower is crucial. I wouldn't think 30-40 bbs would be such a difficult transition for cash game players, but most probably need to get better at pushbotting.

[/ QUOTE ] This happens a lot in reraised pots and 100bb. I pretty much don't know what to do when there are like 3 differente stack depths, and its near the money or w/e and I have 30bb or less |

Then your ROI should be only like 150% in this tourney.
Sucks to be you. |

Re: ME - how important is the short stack strategy?
I've been working really hard on my orange-red zone strategy for the ME. I'm not a natural tourney player, but I'd be stupid not to know what will seperate me from the pack.
