Re: Agree with Olbermann?
Agree with which part? I agree that Bush is a douchebag that is constantly going against the spirit of the United States and the Constitution. On the other hand, he won't resign; nor should he. The difference between Nixon and Bush is that Nixon was about to be impeached. The leaders of the Republican party begged him to resign, as the damage that the impeachment would have done would have been huge.
There is no chance that Bush is going to be impeached. Pardoning prisoners is not a crime after all. If you were standing in Bush's shoes, would you resign? |

Re: Agree with Olbermann?
The part that resonated with me was his comparison of Libby's pardon to the Saturday Night Massacre. His contention there was that was proof that Bush believed he was above the law and that it was analogous to the Massacre because it was such a blindingly obvious abuse of power.

[/ QUOTE ] Hilarious since the Constitution grants Bush that right. Apparently any presidential act to pardon or commute is an abuse of power to some. It's certainly not acting above the law to grant one though. |

Re: Agree with Olbermann?
Nixon had the "Right" to fire Archibald Cox. Cox was an executive branch employee who served at the pleasure of the President. However, there was a larger principal involved: respect for the law and the criminal justice process. The outrageous part of both situations was that even though the President was within the law, he tried to elevate some above the law.
