NL50 - TPTK facing all-in on turn fairly deep.
Villain hasn't gotten too out of line from what I've seen. I played AK the same way earlier, except with two callers. The board was nearly the same but they both folded to my c-bet.I think I have a decently (maybe overly) aggressive image, though I haven't clashed with the villian until now.

in all seriousness, this is the worst piece of garbage hand ever. imo it could go either way, i say play it safe and fold it while hitting something. wait for a read then dominate. rinse lather repeat.

Re: NL50 - TPTK facing all-in on turn fairly deep.
You have $30 in the pot with $50 left behind and villain has shoved the turn from OOP after check-raising you on the flop. I think a fold is best here, as villain's range after calling you're 3-bet pre flop is (at these stakes) most likely Aj+, A10s+, 22+. IMHO, so when he check-raises the flop and shoves the turn he has you beat 95% of the time with AQ, QQ, or 88.

Re: NL50 - TPTK facing all-in on turn fairly deep.
As much as I don't like putting someone on 1 hand I am convinced he has AQ here.
I find that most players who play this aggressively tend to have 2 pair hands as they get worried by being counterfeited and try to end the hand as soon as they can while with sets then tend not to be as aggressive as the villain is in this case. In saying all this, I wouldn't rule out a set but it's lower percentage of his range here for me. Anyway I fold |

Thanks for the responses everyone. I did indeed fold. Villian claimed to have AJ but didn't show, so I'm not too sure I believe him.

Re: NL50 - TPTK facing all-in on turn fairly deep.
You started with way to much to stack with AK on that board.
Very easy fold. If he indeed made that move with AJ, then you will have many chances to win major pots from him in the future. |

Re: NL50 - TPTK facing all-in on turn fairly deep.
I make it $6 preflop but that's just me being nit-picky.
This is not the greatest flop for us considering that AQ now has us crushed. I like your flop play but I really think you have to let it go on the turn. |
