Default 5k hand vs Ted Forrest

5k 6 max, table still 6 handed.

Table has been playing quite tight aggressive and everyone is keeping the pots small.

I have stationed Ted a little before and had the best hand. He is open limping somewhat often. He's also donking a lot of flops.

Hero: 16k
Forrest: 8k
CO: 10k

Blinds 50/100. I hold Kh Jc

Preflop: Ted limps utg, HJ folds, CO limps, hero limps, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
SB checks, BB checks, Ted bets 400, CO folds, hero calls (?), SB folds, BB folds.

Turn: K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Ted bets 1k, hero?

Whats my plan?

flop is fine obv

now call again

and call a bet of any size on a brick river

preflop is definitely a raise with it being 6-handed though

I'd just call him down. I think limping or raising PF are both fine.

Preflop has to be a raise if he's been limping semi often. The only reason I wouldn't raise this is if I thought a l/rr was really likely, and it sounds like you didn't think that so raise.

As played I call him down, no one has really talked about if a heart or a Q or 7 or something like that hits. I dont think this is a big part of his range, but someone else suggested it did. Thoughts?

I'm going to continue this hand.

Turn: Ted bets 1k, hero calls.

River: Qc
Ted bets 1500, hero?

I like a preflop raise as others said. I would call turn and call pretty much any river or bet if he checks river.

Call. I don't see him calling a raise with a worse hand(he would have raised preflop w/ aj right?). Plus you may induce a river bluff. You're not too worried about free cards(although there are straight and flush possibilities on board). I guess he may have qj but he can probably get away from it if you raise him on turn when K shows up.
