i have villain at 27/17 in ~100 hands. he has been kind of aggro generally, but we haven't been tangling a ton. if you are going to bluff c/r here, how's the bet size? if he calls he'll have about 200 left.

****** hand 2

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $4 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

SB ($206.25)

Hero ($680.30)
Button ($578.90)

Preflop: Hero is MP with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
1 fold, Hero raises to $16, Button calls $16, 2 folds.

Flop: ($38) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $24, Button calls $24.

Turn: ($86) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $54, Hero raises to $156

villain is 19/15 in 200 hands. he called me pretty light on the river (and correctly) after i floated the flop and bluffed the river oop about an hour ago. he generally has been uncooperative about folding to my cbets, raising or floating and sometimes just folding to my second barrel. we haven't played a big pot yet, and we haven't been tangling so much that we're in the "we're both oviously FOS" stage yet.

hand 1: i'm fine with him calling draws. i don't think he's going to try to bluff me off the pot on the river if he misses since he would have like 1/3 pot left or something, so i'm value betting. i doubt i'm get i'm getting called by an 8 very often and it's crazy to say that most people are calling wtih A3 or 55 or whatever.

hand 2: i think he's folding some pairs and also i think that his range is wide enough for floating and then betting the turn that it might still be +EV if he calls all his pairs and folds the rest.

Hand 2 is better.
Hand 1 sucks because he often has what you are repping.

you aren't even betting enough to fold out flush draw in hand 1

hand 2 is ok, as long as you think he folds mid pairs and/or he floats a lot

so? that's only a problem if he's going to push the turn or bluff the river. i think it also makes my hand look like a FH that doesn't care if a flush draw draws.
