Default NL10: Flush draw hits, should I have taken the chance?

Villain was 41/20/5 over a small sample, if that helps.

First question, what to do on the river?

Second question, after this hand I got called a moron by a couple of railbirds who said I should not have called the flop bet. Am I a moron (on this hand, not generally, I know I'm usually stoopid)?

Preflop is fine. Flop is fine.

Check-raise turn.

Shove river. You have a flush, what the hell is the problem?

I checked river, hoping to c/raise him. Probably a bit dumb, but there you go. After he checked behind, I was up about 3 x my flop call, with around a 4/1 probability of making the flush it was pointed out to me that I hadn't seen a proper return on my investment. True enough, but doesn't he fold to a shove mostly (he had trip 9's)?

If you check, he will check behind almost always, unless he has a straight.

You had str8 and flush draws on the flop so play was fine. Ignore the table, just get some dang money in the pot when you do hit. If you dont at least ck rs the turn than certainly get some in on the river. At this point, a lone J makes a straight so betting the river for him is difficult.

Ok, I see all of that and I have to admit, I am a moron. How much should the turn c/r have been?

River: put him AI as he only has 1/2 PSB. Two pair/straight is calling you here besides the nut-flush. If villain has two pair and you check the river, villain may check behind with the 3-flush 4-straight board.

Bold aggressive villains who seem to have a hand offer good implied-odds. You have a ton of outs so the flop call is fine. Pushing the flop can,t be too bad here either and also may chase out the nut FD.

Not a moron. That's why we are all here... cause we want to improve our game. I am currently playing Party at same level while i make the transformation from limit to no limit. We probably play against each other.
