Default Patri Friedman

Does he post here, or did he ever? Does he still play any high stakes NL online? What stakes did he play and under what name?

I've been reading some of his Livejournal and he seems like a really interesting person, brilliant mind.

Not sure about his twoplustwo name, but I imagine he used to post here.

I really like this piece he wrote about a big game at the WSOP: http://patrifriedman.com/writing/jou...k-biggame.html

excellent example of what i am talking about. the guy goes from a losing $2/4 limit player in October of 98 to playing in one of the biggest games in Vegas $200/400 Limit and then to this game ($200/400 NL) in just 18 months.

impressive.

Howdy all. Thanks for the kind words, Arnold.

I don't read/post to 2+2 or r.g.p or any other bulletin boards any more - I have very little time, and I like blogs better because by choosing a small set of authors to read I can get max value for my time.

w.r.t. going from $2-$4 to $200-$400 quickly, it helped that I had money from other sources to supply a bankroll for moving up once I could beat a given level. I did not win my bankroll.

Vehn - I am not busto, but I don't play much poker nowadays. Working at Google is more fun, more profitable, and has better health insurance . Actually I kept playing online for the first year at Google, before I became a parent (and the stock soared), now I don't play much, although I play the main event every year.

Do You See Why - Hector was a nobody from Texas who quickly lost all the money he won.

Umm...I think that's everything. I blog at patrissimo.livejournal.com, although there isn't much poker content.
