Poker Stars Recent Growth? \"new signups have tripled\"
I got some info from an unlikely source: a support e-mail. I had requested a new avatar image and had been approved for getting a new one but until today -- more than one week later -- did not have the new image. I e-mailed support and immediately the new image was working plus I got this apology/explanation:
10:42 pm (3 minutes ago) Hello Jon, Thank you for your email. We apologize for the delay in processing your image. Due to our recent growth, the number of new accounts created daily has more than tripled. Due to this large increase in new accounts, approvals will sometimes take longer than the stated 5 days. Your image has been processed and is now available to view. We thank you for your patience and wish you the best of luck. If you require any further assistance, do not hesitate to contact us. Regards, [name deleted] PokerStars Support Team ----------- Does "recent growth" refer to the number of new players since Party shut out U.S. players? That doesn't seem so recent to me. |

They bought Full Contact Poker. I think they count them as new signups.

FCP was never that busy, I doubt that'd have that much effect.
