I just do not understand this play. If your going to call a shove with it, why not just shove? I mean ya you are getting 1.7 to 1 about on the call. Why the big raise? Are you trying to commit yourself here? I just would like to know your reasoning on this hand. It sort of confused me.

instashove against typical - aggressive player. instafold against uber tight/passive

what happened to getting reads in posts..

I would not push this against very few opponents....in fact I can't think of any online.

what good, bad or other point is putting you off?

He's making a logical statement using a statement pretty close to a double-negative in order to illustrate a point. When a good player makes a raise like this, it's usually to throw you off; you are probably raising into a flip, but with all the $$ out there and you being ahead, that's nice, right? easy push.
