Default Satellites in Vegas

Sorta newbie question here. I was in New Orleans for the WS circuit event, and when you cashed in one of the STT satellites, you were given WSOP chips (Whites were $100, Greens were $500). Are these the 'lammers' that i read about? I also read that they are not giving out lammers at the Rio? If this is the case, how are they paying out the small ($60, $125, $550 STT) satellites? I am heading out this Friday, and planned on playing in these, and selling the chips like i did in NO.

thanks in advance for any info..

Huh? Aren't lammers basically WSOP chips that you can sell? What's with the "or?"

Regardless, you get WSOP chips that you can sell when you win a sat.

Yea...I chopped a single table satellite yesterday and got a white $500 WSOP tournament buy in chip that has no cash value.

Just stand over next to the line when ppl are registering for events, and you can quickly sell your lammer for most times full price for cash.

Many thanks, and sorry for not being clear in my original post. I was not sure if lammer was the correct term for the chips that you won. Thanks for the info!!

Yea. I was waiting at the cage for a long time waiting for them to find my wire transfer. I found it really amusing watching people try to explain to people that they wanted to sell the chip to them so they could inturn use that chip to buy in to an event.

The potential buyers seemed to be having a real tough time comprehending what was going on. These are the fish u'll be playing against!

I am surprised you can get full price for the lammers. As a buyer, what's the advantage of paying full price. Guy selling needs some help, he should pay a little bit for it.

Do you have to wait in line if you play a tourney with a lammer or is the reg process the same?
