(24) A5s on the bubble
Villain seemed pretty tight, giving walks to the BB frequently and ended up building UTG up from 600 without a race. I was basically committed to calling an all in when I raised the 1500, would you play this any differently?
Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Tournament Blinds: t250/t500 4 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: t2680 Button: t4195 Hero: t3920 BB: t2705 Pre-flop: (4 players) Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 folds, Hero raises to t1500, BB raises all-in t2705, Hero ? . |

Easy push pre-flop. As played, you absolutely have to call unless he flips over aces.

Just shove pf, a standard raise is horrific if you ever fold and also costs you a ton of FE.

Re: (24) A5s on the bubble
i wasnt thinking about folding but because i had pushed before a couple of times before ive heard a standard raise might look like i really want action and make people fold thinking they avoided a big hand. i should stick with the simpler plan in the future. ty

Since you'll be calling a reraise, you might as well push and maximize your fold equity. You'd just as soon steal the blinds as let him think his K9 or whatever might be good. |

yeah its tough with that idea either it will make people think im on a monster or that im actually saving chips to fold if "necessary". pushing may even get slightly better aces to fold here especially against this tight opponent.
