3 handed AAxxss vs. a shortstack and big stack
I am fairly new to PLO (so sorry for yet another AAxx thread) so the rationale behind this hand is much more important to me than the play that I should be making.
Button has been minraising pf with 40% of his hands. BB has been playing a typical shortstack game. This was his first reraise preflop and I anticipate that he is leaving himself with a PSB left to shove on any flop (if i check to him) I am 100% that if I repot to 160 that BB will call and I am fairly confident that the button will call too (does anyone ever raise/fold pf in position in omaha?). If I repot I have to shove any flop into the fairly dry sidepot right? If I smoothcall pf and check to the shortie on the flop and he shoves and button folds what flops am I looking to call? If I check to the shortie who shoves and button calls am I only calling with a set or nut flush draw? Should I ever be leading out if I smooth call pf? Thanks for your help, I hope to post more interesting hands in the future PokerStars Pot-Limit Omaha High, $10 BB (3 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) Button ($1600.10) Hero ($612.85) BB ($153.80) Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Button raises to $20, Hero calls $15, BB raises to $40, Button calls $20, Hero...? |

Re: 3 handed AAxxss vs. a shortstack and big stack
Just repot now and you'll have 1 psb left for the flop. Thats what you do with doublesuited aces.
If you were deeper, other lines would be worth discussing but you're not. |

Re: 3 handed AAxxss vs. a shortstack and big stack
As i currently read this hand, if you repot preflop as piiop says, the pot will be 480 with you having about 480 remaining. I think you have to push any board that doesnt come a complete heart or club flush. Hiding your hand by calling preflop wont help much because the very small stack will push almost any flop, additionally repotting preflop will make calling any flop they dont hit well very difficult for them.

make it 60 now. [/ QUOTE ] This is sort of the correct answer. The key here is the short stack who likes his hand. You need to raise to like 70 or something, so the small stack can push all in , and you still have an option to raise, letting you get a big portion of your stack in. |
