Default Turn Decision Against Mr. Insane

100NL 6 max

Villain is insanely aggressive postflop, almost never folds preflop thinking he could take it away at some point later in the hand.

Examples: I raise $4 in CO w/ AQo, Villain calls in BB. Flop KT2, he check, I cbet $7, he c/r $23, shows J2s after I fold. Against others, he's pot river with A hi against nits and showed. He also 3 bet me big preflop w/ 72o. He almost always double barrels if he has the initiative and hes not afraid to pot each street. His stats are 80/40, AF > 3

Effective stacks $100

Preflop:

Hero has A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] OTB

Maniac raises UTG to $3, folds to me, I call, BB calls.

Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Check to maniac who goes $11, I call, BB folds
I'm thinking mid pair is a pretty good hand against his range. Raising is pointless here because he is capable of 3 betting with no pair.

Turn: Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Very good card for me I think, it reduces the chances of him having a Q, so I'm prod ahead

Maniac bets $33, Hero??

Is this time to shove? We're not folding I think. Shove or call?

Are you saying I would be missing value from bluff catching one more street?

While thats probably true, the pot is almost $70, I have $80 something behind... we don't mind taking it down now?

What rivers are we folding here if we just smooth call?

Thanks

Okah, let's say you call turn, then a king of spades fall, and he shoves the rest in. Whatta you do?

His push is only for $53 so I call. If you think you are ahead on the turn you should think you are ahead on the river regardless of what card falls.

You have to call down maniacs to win, folding on the turn/river is how they exploit you.

yeah, you're basically turning your hand into a bluff, when in fact you have a bluff catcher, and pushing will lose value from his bluffs

call any river
