Popularity of WSOP

I havent been following the # of entrants in this year's WSOP or last year's, but for the events so far, as there generally been an increase in the # of entrants ?

Basically im just trying to figure out if the decline in the online poker popularity has any effect on the # of entrants in the WSOP for this year.

I'm not sure about most of the events, but the 1st no limit event of the Series this year had the most entrants of any non-main event ever.

These smaller events didn't get huge numbers of online qualifiers in the past anyway, so it will be hard to judge until the ME.
