Default Over played T\'s?

Howdy

Here are two hands where I had T's, and wondered if they were over played.

a) I reraise an early raiser w/ TT. The blinds fold and its heads up.

The flop comes QJJ. HE checks, I bet and he calls.

THe turn is another J, he checks , I bet he calls.

River is a blank, check check...

I felt the turn bet was to make AT and AK fold and betting is definitely right then. But there are alot of other hands he isn't going to fold on the turn.

b) I reraise again w/ T's a early position raiser, bb goes all in and initial raiser just calls. 3 see the flop.

The flop is J 24r. He checks, I bet, and he check raises. I thought he could be trying to get me fold AK and might not need to have me beat to do this. So I reraised and he called. I thought this would be better than flat calling and wondering what to do if lead into on the turn.

The turn was a 4. He checked I bet he he raised again. I folded.

Results later.

Reads on your opponent is key here. If he's the type that has a very narrow opening range, you can muck TT here.

Bet the river in hand 1. His most likely hand is AK given his call of your pf 3 bet and no c/r on the turn. He will pay off with most aces here given the board.

Hand 2: Just fold to the c/r. With an all in player its less likely that he's trying to make a move on you and more likley he has a real hand like Jx. The presence of the AI player means this hand will go to showdown regardless of what you do. For that reason its less likely that he's c/r'ing you with a hand like AK.

What ssmallz said. Value bet on hand one. On hand two he's not getting out of line with the allin guy so I would fold to the flop c/r.

I think maybe villian one has a lower pocket pair, but I still bet the river.

Thanks for the replies. I feel like I'm constantly "donking" the turn in situations like the secong hand.

THe first hand my opponent had KK, and second he had JJ ouch!

a) Bet the river! Are you serious? He calls with ace high and lower pocket pairs, and it's almost impossible that he has you beaten after this action. After that turn he is not on a draw... he's calling down. I'd rate that check as almost a full big bet mistake.

b) looks fine.

good luck.
