Default NL200: Only two better hands would fold

Is the River bet worth it? Given the action so far I put him on AJ, KJ, or Ace-high flush draw.

why did you limp? (out of curiosity)

JT is a possibility he could also have T9 (bit unlikely given pf) KT or f draw i think i just check behind i think you beat most of his range

Even if you beat most of his range, would it still not be worth betting if you still can get some of the range you don't beat to fold?

Don't remember why I limped. About the only time I've been limping is in situations where I suspect a regular in the blinds is likely to come back overtop my steal raise ...and I have some hand I'd like to play with position (usually a suited connector). I'll also limp AA/KK from late position enough to balance.

Open limping the button is terrible. Just raise PF.

One thing that I've certainly noticed more and more as I move up, especially as I take shots at NL400 now, is regulars in the BB come back over your steals very often. If I raise a hand like J9s against such a player, I will have to fold to a 3bet. But it's hand I know I can play profitably with position, so I don't want to put myself in a situation where I have to fold it. This is far from "terrible" play.

Limping AA/KK to balance gives up a lot more equity than you gain by limping weaker hands on the BTN. If the player three-bets your BTN raises too often, then just give up with J9s type hands - your average amount won with them will be in terms of single digit percentages of a BB, whilst AA and KK are worth several BB.

It's pretty hard for villian to put you on a hand that beats his here. I'd just give it up, and infact would probably have checked behind on the turn (or at least made it > $30)

Well, I don't think they are going to be 3-betting your steal attempts every time. I would rather play this hand with the initiative and likely take it down PF. Whats your sn there if you don't mind my asking?
