Default Soft 4-8 in Vegas

Alright, I know, all 4-8 is supposed to be soft... but I am headed out to Vegas for a week and my bankroll says I can't even think about going higher than 4-8 limit.

So I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for good places to play 4-8.
In particular, is it better to go to somewhere like the Venetian where there are better players generally, but since 4-8 is the lowest stakes you get the weakest players because the best are drawn to the higher stakes games?
Or is it better to go somewhere else where 4-8 might be the top stakes in limit but the players are generally weaker at all levels?

Any suggestions of soft poker rooms in 4-8 would be gratefully followed. (or warnings about tough games)

Just so you know, I am not a genius poker player, but I am a winner (~2bb/100ptbb, 30khands) at 1-2 on stars and have recently graduated to 2-4 with no difficulties. So, I am told I should be OK at 4-8 live. If I am wrong, please let me know!

Thanks in advance

last time I was at Bally's, 4/8 was the top limit they spread. If you go to caesar's or the venetian or bellagio or the wynn or mirage then you might run into some people sitting in 4/8 but waiting for a 6/12 or 10/20 game or whatever, but 6/12 and 10/20 players are so bad anyway that this isn't even much of a problem

In general, I think it's pretty marginal. The first line in your post had it right. All 4/8 games are soft. Stuff like getting a poker rate is going to have a bigger effect on your trip EV than the (maybe illusory) marginal differences in the games.

Enjoy!

It's not an overcall if you're the first caller. Overcall is when someone bets the river, next calls, and you "overcall" without being able to raise for value.

To the OP, seriously, any game with an open seat.

Also a guy can't donk into the field if there was no pre-flop raiser. Seriously... you must suck at retelling hands.

OP - Any room where they spread 4/8 is soft as a baby's bottom, there is no such thing as a tough 4/8 room in Vegas.
