Default OT - what to do during internet outage

So this is the second time this has happened in the last 2 months.
Im 8tabling $60 sngs and the internet goes out. i call comcast and theyre having an 'outage' which will last indefinitely. now im out 500 bucks just blinding out of games where i had big chipstacks and im furious obv.

what kind of backup internet options do you guys have if any?
how do you guys avoid this since there is no worse time for this to happen then playing SNGs?

I think getting someone else to play under your account is about all you can do.

When I was playing more (and having constant trouble with Comcast) I kept a dialup backup.

I'm sure the baller poker players out there have two internet connections. If you playing really high stakes it would be worth it to get a back up internet connection. As for me I don't play high enough and it doesn't happen to me that often to warrant a back up.

Get backup internet like I do. It's worth it.

Get backup internet service on a different wiring system than your primary.

If you're 8-tabling 60s then you might want to invest in a failover router, and while you're at it, get a backup PC and a generator.

A dial-up connection costs about $120 per year. One outage per year while 8+ tabling and it pays for itself. It's slow, but it's good enough to finish your remaining tables when the broadband dies. If you have a PDA/Blackberry with internet, many of them can be used as a modem for your PC as well.
