Looking for cheep room for a week. I would like to stay on the strip. Is this place too bad to consider?

Sahara can be cheap and it has a tram station in the back of it - reasonable walk from the rooms - to get up and down the strip. The tram does stop at some point during the night though.

Royale can't really be beat for location - if it's cheap and you do try it out please post a report for us.

It's fine. Very "no frills". Certainly not luxurious or some place you'd like to take "that someone special". Very Motel 6-ish--from what I can recall of Motel 6's 30 years ago. Location is excellent.

Even if you don't plan to gamble there, be sure to get a player's card and their "funbook" coupons. The match-plays, 2:1 blackjack coupon, and video poker coupons are all well worth playing. Just don't play beyond the point where you cash the coupon.
