Default My first WSOP, what to expect

I'm leaving for vegas this weekend and i was wondering what to expect when i get there. I don't know exactly what events i'll be playing but most likely 3 or 4 ranging from 1500-5k depending on how it goes/how i feel. Any information would be appreciated. How are the lines, how is teh room set up, where should i go to eat, etc. is what i'm looking for. thanks in advance

Book your room @ Circus Circus or The Las Vegas Club.

It is like one giant conference room with around 300 tables. The cages to register and cash are at the first entrance. I would suggest registering late night to avoid the lines.

There are a few decent restaurants in the Rio and they serve food (like hotdogs and hamburgers) outside the poker room in the back.

Cash games start pretty early after a decent number of tables open up.

Basically, just go and have fun. Don't get overwelmed and stay focused.

Find the threads on the room temperature.

And bring yer walkin' shoes, you'll need 'em.

P.S. Try to resist being a poker geek. When someone at the table says "there goes Sheiky Sheikhan", don't jump out of your chair, crane your neck, and exclaim "Where? Where?!".
