Default Big Love, s2e1

There aren't enough HBO threads on the front page yet. Anyone besides me looking forward to this? I thought the show was merely interesting when it started but by the end of the first season I thought it was pretty good.

I liked the first season, its tier 2 HBO(tier1 being stuff like The Sopranos, The Wire, Deadwood, Oz) but still worth watching

I really enjoyed the first season. Great storyline.

For those that might be turned off by the basic premise (a polygamous family), it's like the Sopranos in that it's only incidentally about polygamy, as the Sopranos was only incidentally about the Mafia. It's really just a character drama.

I saw enough of it once to see a Chloe Sevigny nude scene (who hasn't?) but I'd much rather see Ginnifer Goodwin get it. Anyway I turned away after about 15 more minutes, I couldn't get into it. Should I try again from the beginning?

Also, Amanda Seyfried is delicious, and it was funny seeing her and Tina Marjorino in the same episode given that they were both on V-Mars.

Did the eldest daughter grow some major melons between s1 and s2 or is it just me?

I'm with you here. Its still better then any other show airing new episodes at this time of year though, imo. Obviously excluding HBO's Sunday night lineup which looks to be pretty solid...

I thought it was a pretty good start to the 2nd season and there appears to be some interesting story lines going forward. I think the Bill/Roman feud was getting old as the cause of it was pretty petty. It looks like this season will have them both dealing with bigger problems.

I re-watched parts of S1 recently and there is a scene in episode 2 where Albie is doing the books and it shows their (Roman and co.) yearly revenue as something ridiculous like $50mil. I don't think the ~150k/yr they were squabbling with Bill about was really that important.

I can't remember from season 1 - do we know who ratted them out to the mother of the year people?
