Default V DS $1060 Day Two: TP, Nut flush draw

12 left, six-handed. Blinds are 4000-8000/1000. Typical aggro table. Most hands get a raise to 22000-25000 or so. Some get reraised. Rare to see a flop.

Rough guess of stacks:

Aggro UTG: 420K
Hero (button): 200K
SB: 100K
BB: 900K

UTG fumbles with his chips a little and ends up making a min-raise to 16000. I really wasn't sure if he just wanted to call or raise.

Hero has A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and calls. (?)
SB completes.
BB checks.

4 to the flop: (pot 70,000)

A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Checked to hero.

Hero?

A) Check behind
B) Push
C) bet 1/2 pot
D) bet pot

If you bet, are you calling an all-in reraise?

E. Bet 50k and call any raise. If someone flat calls get it all in on the turn.

I dont really think pushing about 184k into this 70k pot is the best play. You can get it in on the turn just fine.

seems like a pretty clear bet/call. Give other draws/random hands a chance to check raise you. Folding to a push would be a disaster.

I'd bet and call any raises. Too many opponents to just check behind here IMO, and if turn blanks you can find some way to outguess yourself and fold.

Bet/call but I can't get over the fact that you called 16k of 200k with A3.

Yeah, no real good reason to get involved here, other than to try to wrest the pot post-flop. I felt two things: if I raised the opener would call or repop me and that if I flat called the blinds would likely come along, esp the BB. The BB had never raised in this spot, and the SB was short and would need a huge hand to raise here.

So Nath's "You've got TP and the NFD- PUSH" line doesn't apply here??? (not that most liked that line, I'm just curious-- If my plan is to bet and then call any raise, why not just push (adding 40% to my stack if it gets folded) and having outs if I'm called?)

the table was making some large overbet pushes fwiw.
