Default bet this river?

live 20-40, 9 handed
I've been more or less off for 4 months, I think this is standard. But some comments would be nice.

Preflop:
- folded to mp who raises- I think he is a professional as he is always here, but he's not a very good one. I have seen him call early position raises with Ajo, and cold call 3bets with hands like Aq. He also rebuys in with 5 BB when he goes bust (this happens very ofter).

-I 3bet with TT.

-Button, is always here and I know she is a professional. I think she is a little loose preflop, but plays very well post flop.

-BB loose passive and cold calls, MP also calls.

4 to the flop for 12.5 small bets.

Flop:
flop 555
-checked to me, I bet, Button raises, mp cold calls, I 3bet, everyone calls.

Turn:
3 completing the rainbow. 10.75 BB (3 players)
-checked to me, I bet, button calls, mp folds

River:
2
Hero?

I'm assuming button cold-called 3 PF? I would value bet the river. Yeah she might have JJ (a common cold-calling-3 hand PF) but if she didn't raise the turn she isn't raising the river. You will also obviously get calls from 22-99.

Bet. Her most likely hand is a pocket pair smaller than yours; even if she has pocket jacks, she's unlikely to raise in the face of your aggression. MP's fold on the turn was likely two high cards, lowering accordingly button's chances of having a bigger pair than yours.

Agreed. I think you can expect to see 77-99 here a lot. Sure, JJ or QQ is possible, but certainly less than 50%.

VB is mandatory.

JJ/TT are the most likely holdings for non-retarded live players to have when they cc3. That being said, I bet you posted this because you bet and got called by JJ. However, without other information on this player, I would agree with the consensus. I bet and hope to get called by a smaller PP.

When you consider whether or not to bet this river, you've also gotta consider what happens when you check. Villain here can have any pair here and maybe even A high, although its unlikley. We can rule out QQ-AA b/c those hands would cap and/or show more action postflop. So that leaves us with pairs JJ and below and less likely AK or AQ. Of these hands only JJ, TT, and 99 will prolly bet if you check, however other weaker hands will check behind here and take the free showdown. On the other hand, all of these hands w/the exception of A high will call your river bet. When you consider the possible outcomes and the low probability you are going to get raised, betting is clearly the better option b/c you are more likely to be ahead of his range when he calls your bet versus the time you have to call his
