Default Reraise pf, check flop w/ overpair

Opener is 26/9/3 thru 70 hands. BTN is 30/7/4 thru 30 hands. My image should be TAG if it matters.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Hero ($204.05)
BB ($30.85)
UTG ($56.75)
MP ($186)
CO ($125.95)
Button ($155.90)

Preflop: Hero is SB with T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG posts a blind of $2.
UTG (poster) checks, 1 fold, CO raises to $8, Button calls $8, Hero raises to $36, 1 fold, UTG folds, CO folds, Button calls $28.

Flop: ($84) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button checks.

Turn: ($84) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)

I would definately bet the flop... why would you risk giving a free card when most of the deck hurt you.

On the turn, BET!!! you know your hand should be good, don't take another risk in allowing him to see a free river.

Maybe if this guy is super overaggro he might bet out, but it seems like you're risking too much in trying to rope him into putting money into a pot where your hand is strong, but very vulnerable.

bet this flop.

for protection, value, etc.

if you dont know what your doing on blank flops like this (are you c/c-ing , you probabaly are, whats your turn plan?). blindly 3-betting pf without a plan is spewing money.

so, i would bet the flop and probably call a shove. villan looks to have a pp of some sort. sometimes a sc or something.

as played, bet the turn.

i feel bet/calling would be a pretty significant mistake

let me elaborate:

think about the reasons WHY you are rr-ing pf. is it a pure bluff? is it for value? is it both? can you beat his calling range?

if you dont have answers to these questions, i dont think you should be rr-ing pf.

you should have a goal in the hand, and an objective. a plan in otherwords. if you plan on bet/folding this flop, then youve turn TT (a pretty great hand imo) into a complete bluff.

if you intend on c/c-ing/c/f-ing, then alternately you think that villan will ONLY be giving action with JJ+. so why rr pf? again, do you want to turn TT into a pure bluff? eh?

i personally prefer calling pf, however, this time I raised. I appreciate your elaboration, albeit completely unnecessary, it's appreciated.

Just because a worse hand won't likely shove, doesn't mean I can't get called by worse.

i think we sometimes think about this concept too much and think about the 'protect our hand' concept less and less.

betting this flop and our opponent folding is an excellent result.
