Default PKR saying they need another deposit before I can cash out

I've cashed out from PKR and am not planning to re-deposit. Got this from them a few days later:
[ QUOTE ]

You may have noticed that your recent withdrawal request has failed. This is due to the fact that we have made some changes in our system to improve the way your transactions are dealt with.

One of these changes is the bank who we now work with, which is what is now causing your withdrawals to fail. In order for your card to be linked to our new bank, we require you to make a minimum deposit of $25. As soon as you have done this please contact live support and we will be able to process your withdrawals immediately.

Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Kind regards,

Jesse
PKR Transactions Team

[/ QUOTE ]

I wrote back saying this is a ridiculous request, they have no right to ask me to pay them more money just to let me cash out, and they need to sort out a way of getting my details, which they already have obviously, to their new payment provider. Haven't heard back yet.

Am I completely off the mark by refusing to make another deposit on principle, or should I just do what they say?

Is there any other way to cash out at all??? I have no idea but this sounds like they just want to steal $25 more from you.

This is river pot odds 101.

If the size of the pot (amount of the withdrawal) times estimated percentage this will get you your money back is > the amount to call ($25) then it's +EV.

I don't know how big your withdrawal is, but for $25, I probably make a crying call.

It's only $133 I'm cashing out, and I'm not afraid about them running off with the $25. Maybe I'm being unreasonable.

just a quick note, I had to deposit on Interpoker to cash out (minimum deposit) because I'd used neteller to deposit originally and that is no longer allowed for canadians. They wouldn't let me cashout to c2p or moneybookers w/o an initial deposit from either.

If this is a similar situation, it's reasonable because it's probably due to anti-money-laudering laws in whatever country they're located.

Probably not, because the OP is probably British and the Brits can actually deposit and withdraw directly to/from using their bank's cards. Those lucky bastards...

well when I tried to cash out for the firs time from ftp using epassporte, they required that I deposit first then withdraw so this really doesn't sound unreasonable.

I'm pretty sure that the reason for this is to verify that there is a good link between them and whatever method you are using to deposit/withdraw with. I had to do the same at Full Tilt in order to use ePassporte. Same with UB.
