WSOP 1500 NL gotta fire again?
25-50 blinds
UTG+1 limps i raise to 150 in MP w/ KQo Button calls, blinds fold, limper calls flop TT4 twotone check around turn 2 adding 2nd flush draw UTG checks, i bet 250, BT folds, UTG calls river 7 missing both draws check, i bet 450 i've moved in one or twice postflop already and have built up to about 4500, my image is tough but my opponent might be a level 1 thinker so it might not matter |

Re: WSOP 1500 NL gotta fire again?
omg you can post this in Highstakes MTT forum! Anyway I'd usually raise a bit more PF after a limper but whatever.
On flop I'd bet sometimes, but checking fine ofc. I assume they have seminormal stack sizes? On turn if I did bet I'd probably bet a touch more than 250, but okay....On river I'm sure betting again is fine. I dunno, it's hard to answer, you didn't really give too much info about the players/their stack sizes, how they seemed calling the turn bet etc. |

Re: WSOP 1500 NL gotta fire again?
Early in the tournament, so im assuming you havent gathered a strong impression of the other players at your table yet.
A-X would be a possibility pre flop and possible sub 9 pairs, especially if you have some "level 1" thinkers. If you were truly facing some low level people, you would have seen raises in front of you with A-10 up pre flop, so you can probably help eliminate that from your head. My play would have been a continuation bet post flop which would have served as a feeler bet from your side and maintained your aggressive image. Id have assumed at least one fold would have happend which helps you isolate and strengthen your position, which happened after the turn anyway. What was the turnout? |

FE,
Your line isn't exactly repping strength here. 66-99 is liable to look you up light here, IMHO. And you're basically setting yourself up to be c/r'ed on riv. You're repping exactly what you have, whiffed Broadways, and even a level 1 opponent will call on a paired board with a decent amount of pairs. If it's a level 1 opp that's like "zomg i'm at the wsop", then you might have a little more FE here. |

Re: WSOP 1500 NL gotta fire again?
It becomes a question of chip utility then. It's borderline.
And given your stack size, the bet should be fine for a variety of reasons. Even losing the pot has merit at this table. They'll loosen up against you on future hands. You also have to consider that they have done that already. Given your image, he might call you down more likely than not. But given the static nature of chips in play in a tournament, you'll save 450 chips by simply flashing the KQo before mucking. Accidentally or not. |
