Default 200NL - AK against a regular (thought process included)

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 4 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $119.30
BB: $202.00
UTG: $48.80
Hero (BTN): $514.65

Reads: adamw005 is the BB, a good winning regular. he runs 22/19/2.8. i don\'t recall any big confrontations between us ever.

Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 Players)
UTG folds, Hero raises to $7.00, SB folds, BB calls $5.00

Flop: ($15) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
BB checks, Hero bets $10.00, BB raises to $32.00, Hero calls $22.00

what hands does he c/r the flop with. I have a hard time believing he's c/r w/JT on this board, but we can't rule it out. KQ is certainly in his range here. maybe even KJs. as is 22. maybe a slowplayed QQ, but i think this is doubtful. of course there is always the possibility of air.

Turn: ($79) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
BB checks, Hero checks

pretty harmless turn. is my hand face up here and he's going for a double c/r. or does he have JT and doesn't want to bet his draw. or is he giving up w/air. i checked because getting c/r'd again would suck and i really wanna showdown my hand for as cheap as possible. also, if my hand is best, i can get some value on the river by inducing a bet from a worse hand.

River: ($79) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
BB checks, Hero bets $50.00, BB raises all-in to $163.00, Hero ???

cool. he checked again and my hand improved on the river. it'd take some balls on his part to check the nuts on the river, especially when the turn checked through. i presume my hand is best, let's bet and get looks up by KQ or maybe even something like KJ....didn't expect to get check/raised again...i doubt he'd do this as a bluff since I am getting close to 3:1 on a call...is he doing this w/KQ. AQ? nah, don't think he plays AQ this way (he prob 3-bets pre and doesn't c/r the flop w/that hand...did he whiff a c/r on the turn w/a set and checked it again on the river hoping that A hit me...sounds too risky to me. this is probably an easy call getting close to 3:1, but the only logical hand I am beating is KQ...

thoughts??

i call expect to see a random bluff alot. You have 2nd best hand in your range (behind JT) getting 3:1 this is a call. Could feasibly be with KQ but i doubt it. You could be vaue betting KT here in villains eyes.

YOu crazy. Ace is going to help a huge part of our range that calls the flop cr, then goes for pot control on turn.

What else does standard tag check for pot control on the turn?

im used to playing lag and noyt folding when agro types raise my cbet, you're probably right then, standard TAG would be like KT+ JT AK AQ

THis is fine in general, but I'm not crazy about calling with any two on this board just to take it away later. So few semi bluffing hands for villain, and plenty of hands like ones you just listed we can call with to reevaluate.
