JJProdigy - How was he caught?
I guess i'm a sucker for gossip. I know he signed up his grandma's name and got caught at stars, but does anyone know how he was caught?
Pls don't tell me he played from the same IP...? |

Re: JJProdigy - How was he caught?
Always the same IP, sometimes the same computer, on multiple occassions. Party never did a [censored] thing.
He got caught when his second account was near the final table, he got all excited and started blabbing to everyone to come watch him. Everyone emails Party while he's winning the tournament, he gets first place, Party take all his money soon after. El Diablo famously makes joke post in NVG regarding incident. Wacki gets pwned. |

Re: JJProdigy - How was he caught?
[ QUOTE ]
The PartyPoker.com investigations team opened an investigation on accounts JJProdigy and ABlackCar relating to suspicious activities during the February 12th $500K Guaranteed Tournament. The investigation was initially triggered by the investigations team as a result of a ęcommon informationę alert, IP and computer. Although the investigation was initiated internally, customer service began receiving complaints/concerns regarding this situation starting on February 13th. With this investigation, the complaints and alerts pointed to multiple accounts being played from the same location in the same tournament. [/ QUOTE ] Party claims they initiated the investigation before others complained. Whether that's true is debatable. But a common IP address doesn't necessarily mean two accounts were on the same machine. I don't know Party's security features, but it would be pretty easy to ID each machine from the PP client and include that ID with every network transaction. In fact, I know they do this at some level, two years ago when I wanted to setup another account on a different skin for rakeback, I was forced to find another computer to do it on. If I remember correctly, I figured out later that using a different windows account to login would have worked, so their method of identifying the computer was weak. |
