Need to get from NY to Mexico CHEAP
This summer my friend and I are planning on backpacking through Mexico for 4-5 weeks. The only problem is that we are in upstate NY and mexico is way the hell far south.
Since we are both broke as hell we need a cheap way to at least get to the border, since trains inside of mexico are cheap. Flying is expensive (note that $200 each way is over budget here), trains are more expensive, driving is a distant option. There is a bus from NYC to El PAso for $99, it takes 48hours. Anyways, the plan so far is to grow a pound of shrooms, drive to Boneroo(sp?) and sell them to aging hippies, then take thecash and hitch hike to the border. If anyone can think of a better plan (probably not too hard) or knows of a way to get to the border for cheap please help me out.

[/ QUOTE ] LOL Do you have any clue at all what you are going to do in Mexico, any specifics on where you will stay, etc. Do you have a passport and are you capable of keeping tabs on it for a whole month?

[/ QUOTE ] Umm, I've got a passport, not that you need one for Mexico from the US. But as far as travel plans go, I have none. Planning takes time and effort, we intend to go to a list of cities but otherthan that there are no specifics. Who needs plans when there is ample tequilla and pot??

Its still within 3% of all the other freaking private schools. Plus, if you are paying 40k to go to school, it seems ridiculous to not be able to invest a tiny bit of that to vacation for over a month.

[/ QUOTE ] Naw dude, I'm paying 50k/yr to go to school and I make about 3k a year. The rest is loans. The point is that I'm poor as [censored] but am hell bent on going to Mexico, as such I need anyone's help in getting there.
