Default John Henry going Busto???

Surprised these stories haven't been posted before (that I could see).

John Henry in a slump.

John Henry gets bloodied.

[ QUOTE ]

A fascinating chart on Henry's Web site shows that, thanks to recent catastrophic losses, anyone who jumped into his main fund when it launched in 1996 and stuck with it until today has actually done worse than they would have in a fund that merely tracked the S&P, international stocks. Even 30-year government bonds fared better. Overall, they've done worse than a cheap index fund.

Sound's like he might be at that tipping point where he loses so many clients he'll have to shut down his funds. I think he's personally taken out more than enough to be very wealthy, so he (and the Red Sox) should be okay. He's a very smart guy, but what worked so well for him in the 80's hasn't worked very well lately.
