Last year, even though the rules for 'amateur' photography were posted outside the tournament area (basically no large zoom or such cameras allowed), I ran into a number of security people that said "no cameras allowed, period". Can anyone report on conditions this year? Are people wanting to take 'snapshots' going to be limited to basically cellphone cameras, or nothing at all or ???

I was wandering around there last night/this AM and saw a few cameras and had one myself and had no problem taking photos. I didn't notice any signs saying anything about it.

I saw lots of people unobtrusively taking photos on Saturday. I think the basic unwritten part of the rule is "don't be obnoxious". No giant zooms, don't get in the faces of the players or block 'em from getting to the restrooms, no flashes. If you're standing quietly at the rope taking a few pictures with your compact digital camera, you're fine. Put on the 500mm zoom with the mega flash and cross the ropes to go kneel at a table in front of Doyle and you better have a media badge.
