Default Borgata 1K, facing open limp from button

I have about 34k in chips. Blinds are 1k/2k with 300 antes; note the large antes. A big stack recently got moved to the table and he's raised maybe 2-3 hands in the past 2 orbits. Nothing abnormal from him. Anways I'm in the BB with A5s, villian as described limps from the button. SB who has me covered completes... I'm not too worried though because SB is probably completing any 2 and raising good hands. I push. Do you like it?

So the pot is like 8K? Yeah I think this is good. Online, AT snap calls you. Live, I wouldn't be surprised if you told me he folded AQ face up.

Hey if you really think everyone is going to fold then it can never be too wrong to go allin and increase stack by about 25%

He thought about it for a minute and ending up calling with KQo. After he acknowledged he didn't like his call but said he thought I was stealing. I'm not sure why he thought this as I don't think I'd played a single hand since he sat down, lol. Obv queen on the river, but I was happy to get my money in as a slight favorite here. Also, not sure why a big stack would open limp like this, if he thought I was going to steal like that then he would have instacalled.

yeah, pretty much. although if he calls with KQ, the push is probably not so great because AT calls faster.

but how often does an active big stack actually limp these hands?

I am auto-pushing this hand preflop. Honestly sometimes you should push without even looking just because it's SO likely people are going to fold to you.

I would definately push this against big stack stealer limping on button.

You are not in that bad shape if called. As you see, sometimes you are the favorite when called.

I wonder where he got the idea you were stealing? I think it is pretty likely from the action you were stealing.

Here he had about a top 10% hand, so he had a fairly easy call with pot odds. If he has 85s or K3s or something, he probably couldn't call.
