Villain's line right here could also be very weak. His range here could be AK/AQ/AJ and connecting 8x hands and FD.

IMO this play is probably +EV, though I don't know the exact math to show a percentage. I ran it through pokerstove vs. all hands I mentioned above in villain's range and it said Hero was 70/30 against those random hands.

I'd probably call the turn bet and re-consider on the river 200BB deep since hands like 89s, 8Ts, etc are more likely.

I feel like this was the right play, got unlucky that he showed up with T8s (or something similar, I don't recall exactly)
