Default Stupid QQ hand

Warning: this might be a really lame thread. OK, now that that's out of the way...

Commerce 20 chow/meow
One limper to me in LP with QQ and I raise. BB and limper call. (Limper is terrible, BB is solid/tight).

Flop comes ATT. BB shakes his head disgustedly and checks. Limper folds. I check behind.

Turn is a 9. BB checks, I check.
River is an A. BB shrugs and bets.

1) call
2) fold
3) doesn't matter at all

I'm thinking the answer is 3, but I could be way off here.

OK just in case this thread is so lame, here's a bonus low-content hand.

Folded to me in the hijack with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (there's a CO poster) and I raise. Poster folds, button calls. (Button is the worst player at the table by an enormous margin; he plays every hand, calls every bet/raise, and makes horribly LAGgish raises at the worst times, but also laughably passive plays -- he basically finds the worst line to take and takes it). BB also calls.

Flop is K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. (jackpot!) check, I bet, idiot calls, BB folds.
Turn is T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. I bet, idiot calls.
River is 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. I bet, idiot raises, I insta-3-bet, idiot calls.

Sweet, he doesn't 4-bet ship it over here. I turn over my hand and put a blue chip on top. Idiot then rolls over A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. MHING.

OK another sweet hand -- I raise 2 limpers with 99. 6 players call, so 7 to the flop, which is everyone except this old man who plays tight, so I jokingly asked him "why didn't you call too?" and he answers seriously "because I had San Francisco!" Oh snap he had 49 so I probably won't make a set here. At this point I resolve to find a way to win this hand UI.

Flop is K54. Checked to me, I bet. A tight-good SB calls, BB calls, and EP (a donk) check-raises. It smells like sh|t so I call, as do the other 2. Turn is a 6. Checked to donk and he bets, I think for a second then raise. SB goes into the tank and grimaces, but eventually pries the cards away from his hand. BB folds easily. Donk calls. River is some Q or something. Check-check. Donk rolls over A5. Send it over here plz.

SB glares at me, smirks, and says "good raise."

just bet the flop and shut down if he hangs around. checking behind makes this so much more difficult than it has to be. say he fires turn and river, what then?

Hand 1: Limper folds with no bet on the flop??? Anyway, I don't understand a check here. On the river, I don't know what you can beat except a bluff or JJ, but I'm guessing he would have 3-bet JJ. What is your read on his Hollywood'ing?

Hand 3: Nice hand. I can't figure out what SB has here that beats you that he wouldn't check-raise the flop with.

The last time I beat a guy who shook his head disgustedly was in 1886. That said, you've given him no reason to suspect you have pocket queens, so I'd call.

I know the guy is seemingly retarded but your river 3 bet in the KJs hand is no bueno. You have the K/J and the T is on the board so you have to hope he is raising with the Q. Not likely. Also, since he is crazy and retarded you will end up paying off a 4 bet and that would be gross. Some guy said in a recent thread "when you're put to a decision on the river, any time you raise you should do so with a premeditated plan on what to do if reraised. If you can't figure out what to do, then you've picked the wrong line."
Oh wait, that was you.

I think it depends if they are actors or nonactors. I often see this head shake which means "oh great, the tight guy raised and now he spiked his ace. Why can't my 89s ever flop a hand." Then they quickly muck the flop and we play the next hand. I prefer to find out for one small bet on the flop if I am uncertain since the head shake combined with the reluctant call (or checkraise) means it is all over.

I'd call in the first hand but depends on how strong your impression was.

I also think you got lucky in the last hand.

Most importantly, what does chow/meow mean?

I saw him 3-bet a flush river with a set once. I saw him checkraise a river with bottom pair. I knew exactly what I was going to do if he 4-bet the river -- call and not feel too badly about it. I understated the idiocy of this opponent, but trust me: there was a lot of value in the river 3-bet.

It's from a classic Joe Tall post. Legendary slang now.

Hand 2 I would like much better if you didn't have the J in your hand but I still think it's okay.

Hand 1 I don't know because I can't help myself and bet any time I am checked to.
