Re: Any way to get any value?
I'm brand new to omaha but I'ma try and grunch this anyway.
I generally bet the flop here. You've got the nuts and you want action but keep in mind that a diamond turn could totally kill that action. you might be able to squeeze a small bet out of the Jd but that's about it. Right now you could get action from smaller sets looking to fill up. You're a huge favorite right now against absolutely anything imo. I have'nt learned the math yet but top set plus the NF is pretty sick. A good line to take might be to lead flop and check turn. This line looks genuinely weak whereas the line that you've taken is more familiar with 'oh my i've flopped the nuts i'll just check, and then damn nobody tried to take it away so I guess I'll bet out now'. If you lead flop and check turn it'll look like you were just cbetting with KKxx or something that is scared of the monotone board and hopefully somebody tries to steal this away from you on the river after you check behind the turn. |

LOL@ a diamond turn killing the action.
Someone tell me this forum has omaha players. I'll post some real hands later. |

[/ QUOTE ] If your opponents have no flush at the flop it is in omaha absolut unlikley that somebody catch a flush with another diamond at the turn. That is because you must use exactly 2 cards from your 4 hole cards and 3 from the board. |

Re: Any way to get any value?
You can't extract value when your opponents have nothing.
Just bet the flop and hope someone has a flush. You're far more likely to get some value on the flop than on later streets. More often than not though, when you flop a flush against only 2 opponents you'll be the only one with a flush. |

If this were hold'em and hero held Kd7d what I was trying to say would be correct. It's going to take me some time to get used to this. |
